Fall only, when the big drum stack up at the passes. Heavy tackle, hard fights, and a real chance at a fish over forty inches. Catch and release on the big ones.
What's supplied
Set up for whatever we're chasing that morning. Break one, it happens, don't worry about it.
Live bait when it's the right call, fresh dead when it isn't. Ice for the ride home.
Full days include lunch. Bring your own beer if you want it — nothing in glass.
Your catch comes off the boat filleted, bagged and on ice, ready for the drive.
Coast Guard inspected, and sized for kids as well as grown men.
I take them and text them to you that evening. No charge, no watermark.
The captain
I grew up in Chauvin and started guiding out of Cocodrie in 2007. Before that I ran crew boats, which mostly taught me how to read weather and how not to get anybody hurt.
I fish four days a week and I don't book more than one trip a day. If the weather's wrong I'll tell you before you drive down, and we'll move it. I'd rather reschedule than take your money for a bad day on the water.
